Capella Kyoto (Location: Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto; Managing Director: John Blanco) will host a special one-night-only dinner event on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 20:00 at 'SoNoMa by SingleThread,' a restaurant established in partnership with the Sonoma, California-based Michelin three-star restaurant SingleThread. This exclusive event will feature a pairing of rare vintages from Château d'Yquem, world-renowned as the ultimate sweet wine, with a chef's 'omakase' course curated by Kyle Connaughton of SingleThread and Keita Tominaga.

Château d'Yquem, the only estate to be selected as 'Premier Cru Supérieur' in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, transcends the category of sweet wine. It is revered by connoisseurs worldwide as an 'art of time,' woven through terroir, climate, harvest, and maturation. This dinner event offers guests the opportunity to experience the flow of time and unique characteristics embodied in different vintages of Château d'Yquem.

Enhancing the experience of these vintage wines is an 'omakase' course by SoNoMa by SingleThread. Based on the SingleThread philosophy—which has gained global recognition for bridging the farm to the table—the menu incorporates seasonal Kyoto ingredients and fermentation culture.
