Carbon EX Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representatives: Kohei Nishiwada, Shunsuke Takeda) supported Metro Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. in procuring forest-derived J-Credits from Gifu Prefecture. Metro Denki Kogyo, based in Anjo, Aichi Prefecture, manufactures heating products like 'Orange Heat' infrared carbon lamp heaters and 'Hinoka', a single-person kotatsu utilizing Gifu cypress. Metro Denki Kogyo has implemented decarbonization initiatives, including installing solar panels, using renewable energy, and adopting PHVs. To address residual emissions from heat utilization, the company procured regional forest-derived J-Credits to match its focus on local resources. Carbon EX provided end-to-end support, from establishing the credit utilization policy to finalizing the procurement process. This partnership enabled Metro Denki Kogyo to achieve its zero-carbon factory in October 2025. Carbon EX, a joint venture of Asuene (51%) and SBI Holdings (49%) with 400M JPY capital, will continue assisting diverse industries with carbon credit trading to accelerate corporate decarbonization.
