CarLifeJapan Partners with AISIN to Begin Demonstration of 'Travel with Pets' Utilizing PARS Technology

CarLifeJapan Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yuichiro Nose; hereinafter 'CarLifeJapan') is partnering with AISIN CORPORATION (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi; President: Moritaka Yoshida; hereinafter 'AISIN') to begin a demonstration related to 'travel with pets' utilizing the pendulum-type acceleration reduction system 'PARS' being developed by AISIN.

What is travel with pets utilizing PARS?

This initiative aims to verify the value of PARS-equipped devices by actually using them in an environment simulating travel with pets. CarLifeJapan is participating in this demonstration as a partner to conduct verification in a form close to the actual usage environment.

CarLifeJapan sells, rents, plans, and operates campervans. The affinity between campervans and dogs is so high that about 70% of campervan owners are said to be dog owners. The company regularly deals with consultations and usage patterns related to travel with pets, especially dogs, and has been proposing ways to spend time during travel and at destinations. Leveraging this on-the-ground knowledge, they are cooperating in this demonstration.

Using a car as both a 'travel' and 'living' space opens up new ways to enjoy it.

In previous verifications, dog-loving monitors used PARS technology-equipped devices in actual travel environments to confirm how they were used during travel, the pets' condition after travel, and the sense of security or discomfort felt by the users.

We were able to gather various concerns about dogs from questionnaires during last year's in-vehicle demonstration.

Going forward, we will proceed with dialogue with stakeholders interested in traveling with pets and businesses considering vehicle implementation, while organizing introduction conditions and operational aspects based on actual usage scenes.
