Cloudbase Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Akimitsu Iwasa) and SB C&S Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kazuya Kusakawa) have entered into a distribution agreement. Under this agreement, SB C&S will begin offering "Cloudbase AI," an AI security service that supports the detection, masking, and blocking of personal and confidential information when using generative AI, as well as the visualization of usage patterns.
While the business use of generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) is expanding rapidly, establishing AI governance has become a major challenge for many companies. Key issues include the entry of personal or confidential information by employees, use via unauthorized accounts, and a lack of visibility into how AI is being used. To leverage generative AI safely, enterprises need mechanisms that visualize usage and appropriately manage operations that could lead to data leaks without sacrificing convenience.
"Cloudbase AI" is an AI security service that provides a common platform for companies to safely use cloud-based LLMs such as ChatGPT and Copilot. By adding an extension to the browsers commonly used by employees, the service can detect personal or confidential information contained in prompts during LLM use and apply masking or blocking. Furthermore, it allows for centralized monitoring of employee LLM usage, enabling companies to promote AI use in accordance with internal rules while maintaining full situational awareness.
Through this agreement, SB C&S will start handling "Cloudbase AI" and, together with its approximately 15,000 sales partners nationwide, provide it as a solution to support AI governance and security measures for companies advancing their use of generative AI.
Both companies are committed to helping enterprises balance convenience and safety in their utilization of generative AI.
Key Features of "Cloudbase AI":
- Reducing Risks of Transmitting Personal and Confidential Information The service detects sensitive data in prompts entered by employees and can mask or block it before transmission. By combining keywords, regular expressions, and AI-driven risk detection, it supports information management tailored to internal rules.
- Deployment via Browser Extension Users can start using the service easily by adding an extension to their web browser and logging in. Since controls are applied directly on the browser, companies can reduce data leak risks while maintaining the usability of cloud-based LLMs.
- Monitoring LLM Usage Usage logs can be viewed centrally through a dedicated management dashboard. Administrators can visualize logs to understand AI usage trends and risk patterns, which can be used for continuous improvement of AI governance.
