In recent years, summer heat has intensified, with temperatures approaching 40°C. In such extreme conditions, 'temperature management' during bento transport is essential for preventing food poisoning.
In midsummer, food temperature rises easily, and insufficient cooling leads to higher risks. While using ice packs is essential, traditional ones have had issues: 'bulky in the bag,' 'heavy,' and 'take time to freeze.'
ICE BOY addresses these issues.
With a slim, efficient 1.3cm form, it fits neatly beside bento boxes, taking up little space in bags.
It features rapid freezing—ready in as little as 45 minutes, even on busy mornings. Despite this, it maintains a temperature of 0°C or below for approximately 3 hours, keeping contents cold until lunchtime.
How is this performance achieved?
By using stainless steel on the exterior, it cools down rapidly and maintains its chilled state easily. The concept is 'efficient cooling' rather than 'cooling for a long time with a large ice pack.'
Recognizing that cooling until lunch is sufficient, the company reconsidered the balance between size and performance.
Designed for daily use, it achieves both ease of handling and practicality.
