CBRE K.K. announced the commencement of construction for a logistics facility owned by a special purpose company (SPC) solely funded by Kyushu Electric Power. In developing this facility, CBRE is providing comprehensive support in collaboration with its group company, Turner & Townsend (T&T), a specialist in project and cost management. Located in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, the facility benefits from a strategic geographic position connecting Kyushu and Honshu, with robust land, sea, and air logistics infrastructure, including highways, ports, and airports. As a government-designated city with a population of 900,000, it is an ideal location for logistics facilities due to its proximity to major consumption areas and access to a stable labor force. Furthermore, Kitakyushu is actively promoting its 'Logistics Hub Concept,' fostering the growth of the logistics industry. The facility is situated approximately 3.0 km from the Kokura-Higashi Interchange on the Kyushu Expressway, offering excellent access to Kokura Station, Shinmoji Port, and Kitakyushu Airport. Leveraging the expertise gained from this project, CBRE remains committed to creating attractive and strategic real estate investment opportunities while contributing to the development of logistics networks and the revitalization of local communities in the Kyushu region.
