Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya Books (Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture) will host the solo exhibition 'FRIEND' by illustrator Akinori Nishio from June 4th (Thu) to June 30th (Tue), 2026, at the gallery 'GALLERY EN Wall' within the store. The exhibition focuses on his latest group portrait works capturing the daily lives of young people spending time with friends.

A caricature event where Akinori Nishio will draw attendees' portraits will be held on June 28th (Sun).

- Date: June 28th (Sun), 11:00 - 17:00 - Location: Kyoto Okazaki Tsutaya Books, GALLERY EN Wall - Registration: First-come, first-served basis at the register counter on the day (limited to 15 people) - Participation Fee: 2,200 yen per person (3,850 yen for 2, 5,500 yen for 3, tax included)

### Art Sales

The exhibited works will be sold at the store starting from 10:00 AM on June 4th (Thu). Selected works will also be available for purchase on the online art marketplace 'OIL' from June 6th (Sat) 11:00 AM to June 30th (Tue) 11:59 PM.

### Artist Profile: Akinori Nishio

An illustrator born in Gifu Prefecture. After graduating from Kuwasawa Design School, he began his career in 2017. He currently runs a silk-screen print shop called 'Slome' and works extensively on books, product packaging, and illustrations.
