The exhibition will feature approximately 30 works, centered on new pieces created in 2026, delicately capturing heartwarming moments hidden in daily life and intangible yet palpable presences. These works will be on display and available for purchase. Additionally, original merchandise such as art cards, designed for easy enjoyment at home, will also be sold.

Inside the venue, visitors can also view a large-scale artwork specially created for SHARE LOUNGE Karuizawa T-SITE as a permanent installation, completed in conjunction with the lounge's opening in March 2026.

This exhibition offers a special opportunity to experience the world of Ayune Shojima's art within a space that evokes the beautiful natural ambiance of Karuizawa. We warmly invite you to visit.

Artist statement

Searching for the scent of grass and flowers carried on the wind

Listening to birdsong and playing at guessing their names

Letting the gaze wander adventurously through the undergrowth

Imagining the stories beyond animals hidden in the shade of trees

I have carefully depicted, one by one, the things I have seen each day, and those unseen yet undoubtedly present.
