Career Design Center Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and Chairman: Hiromi Tada), which operates the female-focused job change site 'Woman's Career Change type', conducted a survey among 245 working women asking if they would like to return to being a new graduate.
'Woman's Career Change type', a job change site for women who want to work long-term as regular employees, regularly conducts the 'Women and Work Known Through Data' series to investigate real views on work and disclose the reality of women's working environments.

When asked about their level of desire for the first company they joined after graduating, the most common answer, at 32.1%, was 'I had no preference and joined a company I was accepted into.' This was followed by 'Joined my first-choice company' at 30.3%. Combined with 'Joined my second or third-choice company' (6.4%) and 'Joined a desired company, though not a top choice' (13.7%), about half of the respondents were able to join a company they wanted. On the other hand, 17.5% said they 'Could not join a desired company and joined one I was accepted into.'
