Chubu Centrair International Airport Co., Ltd. (Location: Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture; Representative: Hironori Kagohashi) held the '7th Nagoya Inbound Night' on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The event brought together local governments and businesses involved in inbound tourism in the Chubu region to learn from advanced case studies, exchange opinions, and foster new connections.

While inbound tourism is on the rise across Japan, and the total number of inbound passengers at Japan's seven major airports*1 is at 130% compared to pre-COVID levels, our airport is currently at 100%*2. Although we have recovered to pre-pandemic levels, we remain below the national average.

*1 The seven major airports include: Tokyo International Airport (Haneda), Narita International Airport, Kansai International Airport, New Chitose Airport, Fukuoka Airport, Naha Airport, and Chubu Centrair International Airport.

*2 Based on a comparison of the first quarter (April–June) of 2025 and 2019, using statistical data published by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan: https://www.moj.go.jp/isa/policies/statistics/toukei_ichiran_nyukan.html

The 'Inbound Night' is held with the goal of referencing various regional revitalization and inbound initiatives from across Japan, allowing Chubu-based companies to apply these insights to create a more attractive region. By co-creating the value of the Chubu region for inbound tourism with local governments and businesses, we aim to lead to new discoveries and business developments, ultimately raising the number of inbound visitors to the Chubu region to the national average.

The 7th Nagoya Inbound Night was held in two parts at the 'Endoji Shopping Street,' where participants shared how to effectively communicate regional charm and connect tourism to regional revitalization based on real-world experiences.

In the first part, Mr. Daisuke Tao, Representative of Tourism Designers Co., Ltd. and Chairman of the Endoji Shopping Street, led an excursion guiding participants through the shopping street to explore the 'past and present' of the area. Mr. Tao also served as the guest speaker for the second part, sharing his candid thoughts and passion for tourism in Chubu from the perspective of a regional Destination Management Company (DMC).

Following this, approximately 35 participants engaged in a networking session, where they exchanged opinions and discussed future collaborations regarding inbound tourism in the region.

We remain committed to proactively working as a unified Chubu region to become a preferred destination for inbound travelers and will continue our efforts to promote the charm of this region.
