On Saturday, May 23, 2026, Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture, hosted the 'Centrair Wings Support Job Tour' at Chubu Centrair International Airport. This event marked the third commemorative project for the 'Ordinance for a Town Flying into the Future Together with Chubu Centrair International Airport.'
Collaborating on the event were Dream Sky Nagoya Co., Ltd., responsible for passenger services, and Chubu Sky Support Co., Ltd., which handles ground handling. The companies introduced essential airport operations to participating parents and children from Tokoname City.
### Passenger Service Experience Dream Sky Nagoya explained the roles of check-in and boarding guidance. Participants practiced making professional announcements, learning proper bowing techniques and communication styles, before performing for their families. A tour of the operations office, which manages flight communications, was also conducted.
### Ground Handling and Cargo Area Tour Participants moved to the airfield to join Chubu Sky Support's 'Junior Handler' experience. They waved to departing flights, experiencing the sense of unity between staff, pilots, and passengers. This was followed by a tour of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at the cargo terminal, where cutting-edge eco-friendly vehicles powered by electricity and hydrogen were showcased.
### Strengthening Local Ties The municipal ordinance was enacted on February 17, 2026, to foster civic pride and deepen understanding of the airport. Participants expressed increased interest in aviation careers and a newfound motivation for English studies. Tokoname City aims to continue these initiatives to build a future in harmony with the international gateway.
