Spreading a 'Children-First Society' from Local Communities: 'Children-First Action' Relay Symposiums to be Held

To realize a 'Children-First Society,' efforts from the entire society, including local communities and companies, are essential, not just the government. The Children and Families Agency will hold 'Children-First Action' relay symposiums in 14 regions across Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, in FY2026. These symposiums are conducted in co-sponsorship with local governments, aiming to spread initiatives for creating a society friendly to children and child-rearing generations nationwide. Local governments, related organizations, and residents will participate to discuss themes such as child and youth support through lectures, case studies, and opinion exchanges. Programs where children and youth themselves participate and express their opinions are also planned to foster momentum toward realizing a 'Children-First Society.'
