Chart Inc. and BE SPACIES Inc. Announce Partnership for Space Talent Development

Chart Inc. (headquartered in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture; CEO: Kohei Matsui), a company engaged in the development and operation of space balloons and research and development of hybrid rockets, and BE SPACIES Inc. (headquartered in Yabu City, Hyogo Prefecture; CEO: Maki Tanigaki), a developer of stratospheric platforms, today announced the establishment of a partnership for space talent development.

Under this partnership, BE SPACIES will be responsible for planning and operating educational programs, while Chart will provide educational content related to rockets and space development and participate as lecturers.

By combining their respective strengths, the two companies aim to expand opportunities for the next generation of space talent to experience authentic space development.

Overview of the Partnership

- Chart will provide its proprietary and developed rocket and space development-related educational content for BE SPACIES’s educational initiatives. - Members of Chart will participate as speakers in educational events, lectures, and workshops planned and operated by BE SPACIES. - Both companies will collaborate on public relations efforts related to their joint initiatives.

First Initiative: Chart Director to Speak at "SoraLab R" (Maizuru City, Kyoto)

As the first initiative under the partnership, Daisuke Nishihama, Director of Chart Inc., participated as a lecturer at "SoraLab R," an experiential space education program held on August 22 (Sat) and 23 (Sun), 2026, in Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. The program is operated by BE SPACIES Inc. and GOCCO. Co., Ltd.

Future Developments

Through this partnership, both companies will expand opportunities for children to engage with space and science through experiential events, workshops, and educational content development across Japan.

By having BE SPACIES plan and operate educational programs and Chart contribute real-world insights from space development through lectures and content, the partnership aims to broaden the base of youth aspiring to careers in space.

The next "SoraLab R" is scheduled to be held in Tokyo on November 28 (Sat) and 29 (Sun), 2026 (subject to change).
