The Cosmos Traffic Safety Cooperation Association (Chairman Hitoshi Umeda, President of Chiba Kogyo Bank) annually donates cycle reflectors (bicycle reflectors) to junior high school students in Chiba Prefecture who are entering school, with a wish to eradicate traffic accidents. This year, this initiative will again be carried out through the Chiba Prefectural Environmental Affairs and Livelihood Safety Promotion Division. On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Chairman Umeda and Vice Chairman Hiroyuki Nakamoto (President and Representative Director of Chiba Nippo) presented 30,000 cycle reflectors to Governor Toshihito Kumagai of Chiba Prefecture. Including this year's donation, the Cosmos Traffic Safety Cooperation Association has donated a cumulative total of 556,400 cycle reflectors over 32 years. Our bank will continue to engage in activities to protect children in the prefecture from traffic accidents.

*The Cosmos Traffic Safety Cooperation Association was established in October 1968 by Chiba Kogyo Bank and Chiba Nippo with the desire to "eliminate traffic accidents in the prefecture" and "protect children and students from traffic accidents." Since its establishment, in addition to donating cycle reflectors, it has also engaged in activities such as providing condolence money and sympathy payments for traffic accidents involving newly enrolled children.
