[Ocean Expo Park] June Issue of 'Churaumi News' Released! Introducing Colorful Events for June

Ocean Expo Park has published the June 2026 issue of 'Churaumi News,' a PR magazine providing the latest information on park events. This issue introduces various programs available at the park in June, a month with no national holidays. It encourages visitors to enjoy extraordinary experiences during this period when the weather gets hotter and the sun stronger.

Event Information

[Coral Spawning Observation Tour] Held on June 1 (Mon) and 2 (Tue). An opportunity to witness the mysterious moment when corals spawn all at once. Location: Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium Time: 18:30 - 20:30 Fee: 3,500 yen per person Capacity: 10 people per day (Junior high school students and above) Registration: Advance booking required (details on the official website).

[Cosplay Photo Session] Held on June 20 (Sat) and 21 (Sun). Enjoy a photo session utilizing the unique locations of Ocean Expo Park. Location: Oceanic Culture Museum, 1F Entrance Hall reception Time: 9:00 - 17:00 (Last entry 16:30) Fee: 500 yen for junior high students and under, 1,000 yen for high school students and above. (Fee for high school students and above includes admission to the Chura Island Botanical Garden and Oceanic Culture Museum.) Registration: Advance booking via the form on the Ocean Expo Park website.

[Plant Dyeing Workshop] Held every weekend in June. Experience dyeing handkerchiefs or bags with plants. Location: Tropical & Subtropical Arboretum Time: 10:00 - 17:00 (Reception until 16:00) Fee: 300 yen per item *Weekdays by consultation (notify by the day before). Groups of 10 or more require reservation 3 days in advance (0980-48-3782).

[Model-making of 'Hanefukube' Seeds] Held every weekend in June. Make a paper craft of the mysterious seed 'Hanefukube' that flies like a glider. Location: Chura Island Botanical Garden (Tropical Dream Center) Time: 9:30 - until supplies run out Fee: Admission fee only

Ocean Expo Park is a national park opened in 1976 on the site of the 1975 Okinawa International Ocean Exposition. It features various facilities where visitors can experience the sun, flowers, and the sea in the subtropical climate of Okinawa.
