Summer Break: Free Admission for Under 18s & No Closing Days

Adachi Park of Living Things is a rare facility nationwide, packed with the charm of a wide variety of creatures including insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. During the summer break, from July 21 (Tue) to August 31 (Mon), a campaign will be held to support children's research projects. The park will be open without closing days during this period, and admission will be free for those aged 18 and under. Additionally, opening hours will be extended by 30 minutes from the usual, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. We offer a place to "see," "research," and "experience" living things up close.

Park Staff Fully Support Research Projects

Park staff will address various concerns related to research projects, such as "What theme should I choose?" and "Where should I start?" The special exhibition "Summer Research Support Exhibition" will clearly introduce methods and key points for conducting research. Furthermore, the "Explanation Corner" by animal experts will meticulously answer various questions, including the names of creatures and tips for raising them.

In addition, support is also available for children who cannot visit the park. The "Summer Children's Question Box," where you can ask questions online, will answer simple questions related to research. Past Q&As are available on the website. We will respond to your "desire to know!"

Full of events, including a special exhibition on popular rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles!

From July 8 (Wed) to September 6 (Sun), the special exhibition "Rhinoceros Beetles and Stag Beetles - Compare Them and See the Differences!" will be held. It will explore the differences between Japan's two representative summer insects. There will also be hands-on programs unique to this season, such as insect specimen preparation and cicada dissection classes. Enjoy a special experience at Adachi Park of Living Things this summer!
