Mobile sales in Fukaya City

【Sales Start Date】

Fukaya City, Saitama Prefecture: March 23, 2026

In accordance with the "Sustainability Basic Policy" formulated in November 2021 by Welcia Group, Welcia Yakkyoku began operating its first mobile sales vehicle "Uetan-go" in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture, in May 2022, aiming to realize a "community where no one is left behind" and to serve as an infrastructure providing safety and security to local communities. With this launch, 41 vehicles are now operating in 38 municipalities nationwide.

Welcia Yakkyoku collaborates with each municipality to achieve "community-inclusive" partnerships through the use of "Welcafe"*1, a community collaboration space operated within Welcia Yakkyoku, and the巡回 of mobile sales vehicles, aiming to build a system of mutual support for the elderly. This collaboration has led to the launch of "Uetan-go" this time.

*1 Welcafe: A community collaboration space set up within Welcia Yakkyoku to solve various local social issues, available free of charge for health promotion, welfare, cultural activities, etc.

The mobile sales vehicle "Uetan-go" sells food, daily necessities, cosmetics, and general over-the-counter medicines*2, including Class 1 medicines (requires advance order). It also provides added value such as online health consultations with pharmacists and registered dietitians from stores via a large monitor installed in the vehicle, credit/cashless payments, WAON POINT/V POINT accumulation, and agency services for public utility payments. Through the operation of "Uetan-go," Welcia Yakkyoku strives to enable residents in each municipality to enjoy shopping and contribute to mutual support activities among residents and community creation projects.

*2 Products ordered in advance at Welcia's Fukaya Chuo store will be delivered by the mobile sales vehicle.

The Welcia Group aims to achieve "the No. 1 Health Station in the Community" by 2030, and will continue to work to contribute to the health promotion of everyone in the local community.
