Handa City, Aichi Prefecture: June 6th is 'Instrument Day'! Outdoor 'Music Marché' Event to Experience the Joy of Music

June 6th is 'Instrument Day', derived from the saying that 'starting lessons for arts and crafts on June 6th of one's 6th year leads to proficiency.' On this special day, we will hold the 'Music Marché,' an event where you can fully experience and enjoy the charm of music. The 3rd Music Marché will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00 at the Takiue Kogyo Kariyado Hall. The event will feature instrument experience workshops (drum circle, harp, violin, shamisen, etc.), instrument-making workshops (kalimba, ukulele, etc.), a concert by the 'Handa Junior Brass Band & Saxofox,' mini-concerts by local musicians, and food trucks. The goal is to create an opportunity for children and adults to casually engage with diverse culture and arts.
