Himeji City will host the international conference, the 20th World Conference of Historical Cities, starting Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at Acrea Himeji (Himeji City Cultural Convention Center).

With the main theme of 'Preservation and Utilization of Cultural Heritage for a Sustainable and Resilient Future,' representatives from historical cities gathered from around the world will exchange opinions on the preservation and utilization of cultural assets.

To share the presentations and discussions of this conference widely, we are recruiting attendees from those residing within Japan. The conference hall and the viewing hall will be connected via online streaming, allowing attendees to watch the international conference in real-time on a screen. Q&A (in Japanese and English) by attendees is also possible. Although the conference will be conducted in English, Japanese audio will be available via earphone guides.

Please check the official conference website for details and apply if interested.
