Itabashi Ward and Kochi Prefecture Promote Disaster Prevention Product Business Matching! Disaster Prevention Product Trade Fair to be Held

[Overview] Itabashi Ward and the Itabashi Industrial Promotion Corporation, in partnership with Kochi Prefecture and the Kochi Industrial Promotion Center, will host a 'Disaster Prevention Product Trade Fair' on Friday, July 24, 2026. The objective is to create opportunities for new orders and business matching through inter-corporate exchanges. This fair aims to promote the widespread use of disaster prevention products from companies within both municipalities and raise disaster preparedness awareness.

Kochi Prefecture is a leader in industrial promotion for disaster preparedness, promoting the sale and adoption of 'Made in Kochi' disaster prevention products and technologies under the slogan 'Manufacturing to Protect Lives.'

Meanwhile, located in an urban area, Itabashi Ward has a high proportion of condominium residents. It has enacted the 'Itabashi Ward Ordinance on the Promotion of Proper Management of High-Quality Condominiums,' certifying and publicizing well-managed condominiums.

Starting in fiscal 2026, the Ward will launch a subsidy program for disaster preparedness in certified condominiums. Consequently, the trade fair will showcase products and technologies for stockpiling and use in condominiums. Attendees are expected to include not only disaster prevention distributors and corporate safety officers but also condominium management companies and management associations in Itabashi Ward.

Through this fair, Itabashi Ward and Kochi Prefecture aim to publicize the outstanding products, technologies, and development capabilities of local companies, further promoting industrial growth for both regions.

The Kochi Industrial Promotion Center has deepened its relationship with the Itabashi Industrial Promotion Corporation through joint ventures and participation in events like the 'Itabashi Disaster Prevention + Fair 2025.'

Itabashi Ward also hosts numerous disaster prevention product manufacturers and regularly honors such products at its annual 'Itabashi Product Technology Award.'
