Hyogo Prefecture's Itami City will implement the "Murashige Project" within the city starting around May 2026, coinciding with the release of the film "Kurojō," which features Araki Murashige, a Sengoku warlord deeply connected to the city, as its main character.
This project aims to create opportunities to engage with local history, including Araki Murashige, while also expanding awareness and increasing theater attendance for the film "Kurojō," thereby fostering local attachment and promoting recognition and visits from outside the city.
The film "Kurojō," scheduled for release on June 19, and the currently airing NHK Taiga drama "Toyotomi Kyodai!" both feature Araki Murashige, the lord of Arioka Castle (Itami Castle).
Taking this opportunity, Itami City will implement the following initiatives under the title "Murashige Project."
