Osaka Prefectural Nagano High School Students to Study Abroad in Carmel, USA

Mayor Nishino to Visit Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam in May 2025.

Kawachinagano City (Mayor: Shuuhei Nishino) signed an agreement to reaffirm its sister city relationship with Carmel, Indiana, USA, last May, focusing on promoting exchange for the next generation.

Both cities have now decided to support a short-term study abroad program to Carmel University High School, conducted by Osaka Prefectural Nagano High School. This initiative aims to foster future leaders and cultivate affection for the cities by enabling young people to experience each other's culture, lifestyle, and customs, thereby contributing to the development of their sister cities.

We would like to request your coverage of the event where the Mayor will offer words of encouragement to the 8 exchange students, entrusting them with a letter to the Mayor of Carmel, as they are expected to become future leaders of the sister city exchange.

*This is the second high school from our city to send students to study abroad in Carmel, following Seikyo Gakuen High School.
