河內長野市(市長:西野修平)於去年5月與姊妹都市美國印第安納州卡梅爾市簽署了姊妹都市再確認書，旨在促進對下一代的投資交流。
為讓青少年體驗彼此的文化、生活、習慣等，並培養對城鎮的歸屬感，以促進姊妹都市的發展，兩市將支持大阪府立長野高中實施的赴卡梅爾市聯合高中短期留學計畫。
為此，市長將向8名留學生致贈鼓勵詞，並轉交給卡梅爾市長的親筆信，期許
