Kawasaki City will host "Ekimae Yuen Park" on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Mukogaoka-Yuen Station South Exit Square. A portion of the roadway will be temporary pedestrian-only space where visitors can enjoy picnics, various crafts, and rickshaw rides while experiencing the fresh greenery. Following the event held last autumn, this social experiment aims to explore the utilization of public spaces. The event is organized through industry-government-academia collaboration, with support from Nippon Steel Kowa Real Estate Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo) and Odakyu Real Estate Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), as well as a talk event involving students from Senshu University located in Tama-ku, Kawasaki City.
