The Kawasaki City Tama Ward Office is holding a hashtag campaign using its official Instagram account from July 1, 2026 (Wed) to December 31, 2026 (Thu) as part of the "Picnic Town Tama Ward" regional revitalization project, which leverages the rich natural and cultural resources of Tama Ward.

"Picnic Town Tama Ward" is an initiative that utilizes the abundant regional resources of Tama Ward, such as its nature and cultural facilities, to connect people through picnics, actively promote the ward's charm both inside and outside the area, and lead to an increase in visitors and regional revitalization.

Through this campaign, we will feature various everyday scenes in Tama Ward that are often overlooked on our official Instagram, share that there are many places in Tama Ward where you can spend your time slowly and relaxingly, and provide an opportunity for people inside and outside the ward to know that it is a livable town.

Tama Ward is blessed with diverse spots, including vast natural areas like Ikuta Ryokuchi and the Tama River, and cultural facilities such as the Fujiko F. Fujio Museum and the Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum. We are promoting town development that enjoys picnics in these rich natural environments and cultural facilities, and town development where people can live with the richness and enjoyment of daily life as if they were picnicking.

Through "picnics," we aim to connect people of various ages, increase the number of people who think "I want to live in this town / continue living in this town," and lead to town revitalization. We are disseminating information about events and recommendations related to "Picnic Town" on Instagram.

How to Apply

Anyone can participate by following the official Kawasaki City "Picnic Town Tama Ward" Instagram account (@picnictown_tama). Please post while meeting the following requirements.

* Posts from accounts set to private are not eligible.

- Please include one of the following hashtags: "#SlowTamaWard", "#RelaxingTamaWard", "#PicnicTownTamaWard".

- Photos and videos posted must be of "Picnic Town Tama Ward" taken within Tama Ward and should match the concept. If there are any points about the photo, please describe them in the caption.

- Please state the location where the photo was taken somewhere in the post. This can be in text or an image. If possible, please use a hashtag that indicates the location.

The organizers will select a "Monthly Pickup" once a month and announce it in the following month's post. If the owner of the selected post's account wishes, their account will be mentioned in the post to promote it to people inside and outside the ward.
