On Saturday, June 27, the "Chizuko Takagi Warsaw Piano Trio" will hold its 20th-anniversary concert at Maizuru City General Cultural Hall. A trio performance by pianist Chizuko Takagi and musicians from the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra will be presented.
The "Chizuko Takagi Warsaw Piano Trio" has been active mainly in Japan and Poland since its first concert in Kyoto in July 2007. The members consist of three individuals: pianist Chizuko Takagi, who is based in Kyoto and active both domestically and internationally; Piotr Cegielski (violin), former concertmaster of the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra; and Robert Putowski (cello), the current principal cellist of the same orchestra.
For this performance, marking the 20th anniversary of its formation, a wide range of programs will be performed, from classical masterpieces to contemporary pieces. The main repertoire will include Mendelssohn's "Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, Op. 49," as well as Glinka's "Trio Pathétique," Saint-Saëns' "The Swan," and Piazzolla's "Libertango."
At Maizuru City General Cultural Hall, admission for preschoolers is not permitted. However, a paid childcare service is available with advance application, so that child-rearing households can also enjoy the performance. Tickets are available at Maizuru City General Cultural Hall, Lawson Ticket, online, and local play guides.
