The Spring Flower Festival will be held at the poppy fields along the Edogawa Riverbank, cultivated in collaboration by flower volunteers, nurseries, kindergartens, and local residents.
The event will feature over 30 booths, including handmade craft sales, flower/plant sales, and food trucks. Entertainment includes a petting zoo, kamishibai storytelling, dinosaur races, and character greetings with Chiba-kun and Matsudo-san.
On the same day, the second installment of the Matsudo City Tourism Association's walking series, "Matsudo Hajimete Sanpo: Matsudo-juku Time-Weaving Five Senses Journey," will be held for 20 pre-registered participants.
Guided by the 7th-generation owner of the kimono store "Kasaiya" (founded in 1839), participants will visit spots reflecting the old post town's atmosphere, such as Matsudo Shrine and the remains of the old Matsudo-juku headquarters, and enjoy a boxed lunch while viewing the flowers at the Edogawa Matsudo Flower Line.
