The "Matsudo Community Revitalization Academy" is an initiative by Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture, designed to foster leaders who can contribute to making the city a more livable and vibrant place. The program invites individuals who wish to utilize their personal skills and professional experience to address local challenges.

The academy features three primary strengths: 1. Community Networking: Students build lasting bonds with peers and connect with active local leaders through practical fieldwork. 2. In-depth Learning: Guest speakers and site visits represent the front lines of various social themes, providing raw insights into the city's current status and future potential. 3. Dedicated Support: Professional coordinators from the Matsudo Community Activity Support Center provide end-to-end guidance to help participants take their next steps.

From August to November, the curriculum includes practical fieldwork where participants join activities of over 20 local organizations across diverse genres such as childcare support, community cafeterias, welfare, and environmental protection.

The program is open to residents, employees, or students in Matsudo aged 18 and above. The 10th term is scheduled to run from June 23, 2026, to January 26, 2027, primarily on Tuesday afternoons (15 sessions in total). The capacity is 40 participants with a tuition fee of 5,000 JPY. Applications, which require a short essay on learning objectives, must be submitted by June 15, 2026, through the online system or by mail.
