The city will hold the Chuo City 80th Anniversary & Minato City 80th Anniversary Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival on Saturday, October 24, 2026, co-hosted with Chuo City, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the city government.

The Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival Executive Committee, held today, decided on the implementation outline as follows.

All viewing venues will be reservation-only (ticketed). Approximately 39,000 seats at venues within the city will be designated as priority seats for city residents, with sales at resident rates starting in early July.

Event Overview

◆ Purpose

As a project to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Chuo City and Minato City, the festival aims to widely promote the appeal of both cities and create further vitality and excitement. The Tokyo Bay Grand Fireworks Festival, which has been suspended since 2015, will be revived.

◆ Date and Time

Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Cancelled in case of bad weather (no postponement).

Offshore of Harumi Pier, Tokyo Port (approximately 12,000 fireworks)

(3) Viewing Method

All seats are reservation-only (ticketed).

(4) Viewing Fees

Viewing fees will range from 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen, depending on the view of the fireworks from the seat. For all venues in Chuo and Minato Cities, and some venues in Koto City, which are designated as resident priority venues, residents of each city will receive a 5,000 yen discount from the above fees when applying for venues in their own city.

* Ticket issuance and shipping fees are borne by the purchaser.

* Ticket sales for resident priority venues are scheduled to begin in early July 2026.

A water viewing area will be set up in Tokyo Port for vessels that have purchased a flag.
