Minato City has signed a partnership agreement with Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and Creatura Inc. to promote decarbonization activities and achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions within the ward by 2050. This agreement will promote the integrated creation and utilization of J-Credits (environmental value), thereby accelerating initiatives by residents and businesses.

Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. participates in the "Carbon Synergy Consortium"注1 operated by Creatura Inc. By leveraging this framework, the partnership agreement combines the "J-Credit Creation Project" with existing regional decarbonization and environmental contribution activities in Minato City, promoting the integrated creation and utilization of environmental value. The aim is to build a model for achieving a zero-carbon city in urban areas, further promote Minato City's environmental conservation activities, and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy.

Note 1: A framework with Creatura Inc. as the secretariat, established in July 2025 with consortium member companies that agree to accelerate J-Credit creation and decarbonization activities (announced July 18, 2025).

Overview of Agreement Initiatives

Promote the introduction of energy creation and energy-saving equipment within the ward by disseminating Minato City's "Minato City Subsidy for Installation of Energy Creation and Energy-Saving Equipment" to supporters (residents, etc.) engaged in decarbonization activities.

Create environmental value (J-Credits) from the CO2 reduction effects of introduced energy creation and energy-saving equipment.

Contribute to the overall CO2 reduction in the area by utilizing the obtained J-Credits within Minato City.
