Following last year, we have created a second edition of design manholes using the artwork of KEN, a paper-cutting artist residing in Nogata City and a hometown support ambassador for the city.

Last year, we installed a "Spring Version" design manhole featuring tulips and cats. This year, a "Summer Version" manhole cover, designed with lilies, the summer flower of Nogata City, and cats, will be installed in front of Chikuho Electric Railway Chikuho-Nogata Station (Chikō, Nogata City).

Furthermore, starting July 31, we will distribute manhole cards, the first of their kind in Nogata City and the Chikuho region. The distribution locations are the Sewerage Division on the 2nd floor of Nogata City Hall on weekdays, and the intergenerational exchange space "Kokoccha" in the Furumachi shopping district on weekends and holidays.

We hope that not only the citizens but also many people from outside the city will visit Nogata City on this occasion, deepen their understanding and interest in sewerage through the design manholes and manhole cards, and also enjoy sightseeing in Nogata City.
