Numazu City Student Loan Repayment Support Program: Pre-entry for FY2027 Now Open

Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, is implementing various employment support measures aimed at retaining local youth and promoting employment at local companies.

The "Numazu City Student Loan Repayment Support Program" assists individuals who have secured employment at SMEs within the city and reside there, by subsidizing a portion of their student loan repayments borrowed from the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) during their university or other studies. This program has been in operation since FY2018.

Pre-entry for certification candidates for FY2027 is now open.

1. Eligibility

(1) Those scheduled to graduate from university or similar institutions in March 2027, or those who have graduated within the last two years.

(2) Those planning to reside in Numazu City as of the application date for certification after graduation.

(3) Those planning to be employed by an SME, etc., with its head office or main store in Numazu City as of the application date for certification after graduation.

2. Subsidy Amount and Duration

Based on the monthly student loan repayment amount, up to 240,000 yen per year for a maximum of 60 months (5 years).

4. Application Deadline

Until March 31, 2027 (Wednesday).

5. Other Information

- A selection process will be conducted for those who have submitted pre-entry applications for FY2027. Certification of eligible applicants is scheduled for July 2027.
