Sakura City has launched the portal site 'Sakura Guruguru Agri Market' on July 15, 2026 (Reiwa 8), to comprehensively promote the 'products,' 'experiences,' and 'messages' of local farmers engaged in environmentally friendly agriculture.

The site features diverse content, including fresh agricultural products and processed goods ('things'), harvest experiences and workshops ('experiences'), and 'Notes' that share farmers' passions and daily efforts.

With participation from various local farms, the platform serves as a new hub connecting producers and consumers. Visitors can not only purchase goods but also experience farming firsthand and engage with producers' stories, bringing Sakura's agriculture closer to everyday life.

We invite you to enjoy this unique opportunity to 'learn, experience, and taste' agriculture in Sakura.

Sakura City has been actively promoting sustainable agriculture, including through its Organic Village Declaration.

In recent years, public interest in food, agriculture, and community engagement has grown, leading to increasing demand for activities such as harvest experiences and volunteer farming. However, information on such opportunities is scattered, making it difficult for consumers to find ways to participate. At the same time, individual farmers face significant challenges in managing online outreach and e-commerce operations, limiting their ability to expand sales channels and build loyal customer bases.

To address these challenges, Sakura City launched the 'Sakura Guruguru Agri Market' portal on July 15, 2026, to integrate and promote producers' 'products,' 'experiences,' and 'messages' in one place.

The platform leverages 'Monokoto Market,' a region-co-creation platform provided by PROPELa Inc., enabling local e-commerce of regional specialties and agricultural products ('things'), harvest experiences and workshops ('experiences'), and 'Notes' that convey farmers' dedication and local charm.

'Sakura Guruguru Agri Market' serves as a communication hub connecting environmentally conscious local producers with consumers, featuring product listings and sales, recruitment for agricultural experiences, and articles sharing producers' efforts and philosophies.

More local producers are expected to join in the future, allowing users to deepen their understanding of producers' values and sustainable farming practices through purchases, experiences, and direct interactions.

'Know, experience, and taste.'

Through these uniquely Sakura agricultural encounters, the city aims to make sustainable farming more accessible to residents and visitors alike, while fostering new connections between producers and consumers.

Platform Operation Period July 15, 2026 – February 28, 2027 (planned)
