Takashi Nagayasu Donates 1 Million Yen to Support Takatsuki City Bus Fuel Costs

On Tuesday, May 26, 2026, Takatsuki City received a 1 million yen donation from Takashi Nagayasu, a resident of the city. The donation reflects Mr. Nagayasu's wish to help with the operation of the city bus system, which is struggling with soaring fuel costs.

Mr. Nagayasu, born in 1936, is 90 years old. He made the donation out of a desire to provide even the smallest bit of help to the city buses, noting that fuel costs have risen due to the influence of the situation in the Middle East.

Visiting the city office that day, Mr. Nagayasu said, "I would be happy if I could be of any help to Takatsuki City, where I have lived for many years." Mayor Hamada replied, "I appreciate your donation. We will make effective use of it in accordance with the intent of your gift."
