[Hida Takayama, Gifu] 'Ontake Hoshizora Camp': A Matchmaking Event to Learn About Space and Constellations for Singles in Their 30s

A matchmaking event titled '30s Only: Ontake Hoshizora and Craft Experience Camp' will be held from July 4 (Sat) to July 5 (Sun) at Hida Ontake Sanso in Takane-cho, Takayama City. This event aims to deepen interactions between men and women through space and constellation-themed quizzes and lectures, stargazing under the vast natural sky, BBQ networking, and photo frame crafting.

Located in the Hida Ontake Highland training area, Hida Ontake Sanso will host this annual event once again. Participants can deepen their knowledge of constellations and the universe while socializing through various activities.

On the first day, guest speakers Chisaki Shinohara (freelance announcer and certified star guide) and Hiroto Yamada (science communicator) will host a fast-response quiz on space and provide constellation commentary using a mini planetarium. Afterward, the group will move to Hiwada Highland Lodge for a BBQ and fireworks under the stars, followed by a stargazing session in the birch forests of the highlands.

On the second day, participants will wake up to view Mt. Norikura floating above a sea of clouds. Weather permitting, those interested can visit the 'Hida Ontake Naoko Boulder Road,' a famous high-altitude training running course.

For breakfast, participants will make pizza using Takane-cho's specialty 'Takane Corn.' This will be followed by a workshop to create unique wooden photo frames using nuts and twigs found in nature.

At an altitude of 1,300 meters, Takane-cho offers exceptionally clear air for stargazing. This event is designed to foster both learning about the cosmos and meaningful personal connections.

An event specifically for individuals in their 20s is also in the planning stages for October 3-4, 2026.
