Seminar featuring visits to STEM companies, surveying experiences, and direct interaction with female engineers

Toyohashi City is advancing various initiatives aiming for a society where future options are not restricted by gender. As part of this, a seminar for female students and parents will be held on Saturday, June 6, Reiwa 8 (2026). Participants will visit a company in the STEM field and deepen their understanding of STEM careers through direct interaction with female engineers working there.

This seminar series began in Reiwa 2 (2020) and, due to popular demand, is now in its 16th edition.

This time, with the cooperation of Asahi Doboku Kogyo Co., Ltd., we will conduct office tours and surveying experiences. We will delve into the appeal of jobs in the civil engineering field, which are usually hard to encounter.

By listening to the real voices of women active in STEM fields and learning about the appeal and work styles of STEM jobs, you should be able to see a new future image. It may also provide hints for those who are unsure about choosing between arts and sciences, or who don't have an image of their future work style.

Participation is free. Accompanying parents and participation with friends are also welcome.

The application deadline is Wednesday, May 20, Reiwa 8 (2026), but applications and inquiries are welcome even after the deadline until registration closes.

Why not take a step toward your precious future? Please feel free to apply.
