CLLENN, a digital comic publisher within the DMM Group, announced that the popular TL manga 'Ima kara, Shinyu Yameyou ka. ~Kusaren En Doryo wa Amai Kairaku de Watashi wo Kowasu~' is being adapted into a live-action drama series. The show will begin airing on June 25, 2026, on the MBS Drama Fill slot and other stations. Natsumi Okamoto will star as Himari Shibasaki, and Rei Sawamura (ONE N’ ONLY) will play her best friend, Kazumi Hojo.

This title, which won the TL Genre Award at the 'Everyone's Choice!! Electronic Comic Award 2026,' marks the first time a TL manga from CLLENN has been adapted into a live-action drama. The story follows a sweet and dangerous love story torn between friendship and romance.

Himari Shibasaki is a 27-year-old PR company employee who is bright and straightforward, but struggles with her strong sexual desires, having broken up with past boyfriends due to sexual incompatibility. Kazumi Hojo is her best friend and colleague from their university days. Unlike Himari, he has not had a partner for years. When Himari expresses her desire to find a compatible partner, Kazumi proposes, "Why don't you try with me?", causing their relationship to evolve from best friends to lovers.

Actress Natsumi Okamoto commented, "The feelings of love for a best friend and the fear of destroying that relationship are themes that many people can easily relate to." Rei Sawamura remarked, "I'm excited to play such an ideal man." Director Masanori Takei stated his ambition to portray the original romance in a stylish and emotional visual style, and the original author, Mitsuyama Mitsuko, expressed her gratitude, calling the adaptation "a dream come true."
