Crossmedia Publishing conducted a third reprint of the book 'Space Business' on June 9, 2026. The book has received significant support since its release in 2025.

The space industry is projected to grow to approximately 280 trillion yen by 2035. Space technology is already integrated into every aspect of our lives, from car navigation and weather forecasts to agriculture and insurance. This book provides a clear explanation for business professionals and students on 'what space business is' and 'why massive investments are being made now.'

According to research by the author, Tomoya Nakamura, approximately 71% of the space business market consists of satellite services, while the rocket industry accounts for only about 2%. The book draws a complete picture based on the three roles of communications satellites, positioning satellites, and Earth observation satellites.

According to the 2024 report by the World Economic Forum, the space business market was approximately 98 trillion yen (630 billion dollars) in 2023 and is predicted to grow to approximately 280 trillion yen (1.8 trillion dollars) by 2035. This growth is driven by the acceleration of private utilization, typified by SpaceX's Starlink. The Japanese government is also pursuing a national strategy, investing 1 trillion yen over 10 years through the 'Space Strategy Fund.'

A key feature of the book is demonstrating that space business is not just a world for STEM professionals. The author himself is a law graduate and introduces cases of job changers with diverse backgrounds. It also features a wealth of examples of manufacturing and IT companies entering the space business, presenting the potential of the space industry.
