[Live/Zoom] Seminar: 'Blueprint for a Methanol Society - Towards Carbon Neutrality' to be held on June 24th!

CMC Research is pleased to announce an upcoming live streaming seminar titled 'Blueprint for a Methanol Society - Towards Carbon Neutrality,' to be held on June 24, 2026. The seminar will feature Professor Junji Nakamura from the Institute for Catalysis at Hokkaido University, a leading authority on catalytic science.

In recent years, decarbonization has become an urgent challenge to address climate change. However, relying solely on batteries is insufficient to meet vast energy demands. This seminar will quantitatively explore the potential of a 'Methanol-Circulating Society,' which leverages existing infrastructure to synthesize methanol from captured CO2 and hydrogen for reuse.

The presentation will cover a wide range of topics, including the essence of global warming issues, the advantages of methanol as an energy carrier, its applications in the chemical industry, and a roadmap for industrial development from 2025 through 2050. The lecture will provide insights not only from a technical standpoint but also from business model, policy, and ethical perspectives.
