Far Eastern Department Store held its annual general meeting on the morning of the 27th and announced a major update in the afternoon: the board of directors unanimously elected General Manager Nancy Hsu as Vice Chair of the Far Eastern Retail Group. Douglas Hsu will continue to serve as Chairman. Previously, the Far Eastern Retail Group did not have a Vice Chair position. Looking ahead, Hsu stated that the company will drive overall operations with six growth engines to enhance competitive advantage and profitability, laying the foundation for revenue expansion and value growth. New locations for the department store include the Baoqing store, currently under reconstruction and expected to be completed in three years, and a new site in the TPARK park in New Taipei City. The company is also optimistic that the full operation of Far Eastern Garden City in the second half of the year will boost foot traffic and consumption momentum. Far Eastern Department Store also noted that it has introduced AI energy management, equipment optimization, and system upgrades. Over the past seven years, it has completed 204 energy-saving projects, saving over 18 million kWh of electricity, obtained 440 green power certificates, and promoted a tree-planting program, having planted 136 trees to date.
