Elderly woman crashes car into convenience store in Tainan, two injured

Central News Agency, Tainan, May 27. An accident occurred today on Zhonghua North Road in Tainan's North District where a passenger car crashed into a convenience store. The 77-year-old driver, surnamed Wang, and a 60-year-old passenger, surnamed Zhu, were injured and taken to the hospital. The cause of the accident is under investigation. The Tainan City Fire Bureau received a report at 10:57 AM today that a car had crashed into a convenience store on Zhonghua North Road. Wang suffered a hematoma on her head and pain in both knees, while Zhu experienced pain in her right shoulder. Both were hospitalized. A 46-year-old woman surnamed Xiao, who was shopping in the store, was startled but declined medical treatment.
