A 9-vehicle pileup occurred this morning on the northbound 325km mark of National Highway 1 in the Tainan Yongkang section. Due to the morning commute, traffic backed up from the Rende System to Dawan. According to the National Highway Police, one large vehicle and eight passenger cars were involved, with six people injured and sent to the hospital. A 43-year-old man surnamed Li, driving a semi-trailer, is suspected of rear-ending the vehicles ahead due to fatigue. The driver was not under the influence of alcohol, and the cause is under investigation. The scene was cleared by 7:47 AM, and all lanes have reopened.
