In the interview, scheduled to air this weekend on the CBS News program 'Sunday Morning,' Jill said, 'I was scared because I had never seen Joe like that, never before, and never since.' In a preview of the program aired today, Jill said, 'I didn't know what was happening. I was looking at him and thinking, 'My God, did he have a stroke?' It really scared me.' President Biden, then 81, not only stumbled over his words during the debate but also appeared stunned, confused, and struggled to handle Trump's aggressive style. After the debate, Jill praised her husband's performance in front of supporters, telling him, 'Joe, you did a great job. You answered every question, and you knew all the facts.' Biden's debate performance sparked strong concerns within the Democratic Party regarding his declining state. Biden subsequently announced his withdrawal from the presidential race, with then-Vice President Kamala Harris taking the lead. Harris campaigned in a rush but was ultimately defeated by Trump.
