Chinese Premier Li Qiang orders expansion of oil and grain reserves in Zhejiang

Chinese Premier Li Qiang recently visited Zhejiang province, touring oil and bulk agricultural product reserve bases. He emphasized that in the face of challenges from the changing external environment, it is of great significance to ensure the reserves of bulk commodities and essential materials. He instructed local authorities to vigorously promote the construction of various types of reserve facilities and further expand storage capacity. Li stated, 'With grain in hand, there is no need to panic,' highlighting the importance of strategic reserves. During his visit, he inspected the Zhoushan National Oil Reserve Base and port facilities in Ningbo to assess the logistics system. China has been tightening export controls on chemical fertilizers and petroleum products since March, and this visit aims to ensure domestic energy and food supply security.
