According to CNA, the Criminal Investigation Bureau announced on the 27th that it introduced "saliva drug rapid test kits" at the end of last year to strengthen enforcement against drug-impaired driving. From January to April this year, 4,725 cases were detected, nearly triple the number from the same period last year. Over 70% of these cases involved the use of amphetamines. There has also been an increase in cases involving etomidate, which causes loss of consciousness. The police are using big data analysis and source tracing to combat drug-impaired driving and improve public safety.
