Driven by gains in healthcare and consumer stocks, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at a record high, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq remained largely flat. The Dow rose 182.60 points, or 0.36%, to close at 50,644.28. The S&P 500 edged up 1.24 points, or 0.02%, to 7,520.36, and the Nasdaq rose 18.55 points, or 0.07%, to 26,674.73. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index fell 174.72 points, or 1.36%, to 12,702.19.
