Vanguard International Semiconductor (VIS) Chairman Fang Lue stated today that the industry outlook for the second half of the year is expected to be better than the first, with capacity currently in short supply. Speaking after the company's annual general meeting, Fang noted that based on AI demand trends, the industry is poised for growth. Regarding foundry pricing, Fang indicated that VIS is working with clients to review pricing, as costs for water, electricity, and materials are rising, alongside increased demand for labor and capacity. He emphasized that VIS will carefully monitor market changes, competitive dynamics, and client needs, maintaining an open stance on price adjustments. Currently, VIS's capacity is fully utilized, and clients are actively placing orders to secure supply.
