A recent survey by the Taiwan Society for Men's Health and Sexual Medicine reveals a trend of younger men experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED). Nearly 45% of men are affected by a decrease in 'morning erections,' impacting their sexual confidence, yet 90% do not seek medical help. Chairman Tsai Wei-kung noted that patients under 40 account for 20-25% of hospital cases and 40-50% in clinics. The survey found that men aged 25-39 are concerned about performance due to work-related fatigue, while those over 40 focus on maintaining intimate relationships. There are also misconceptions about drug addiction and the effects of long-acting medications. Tsai pointed out that a decrease in morning erections could be an early sign of cardiovascular disease. Secretary-General Chang Yi-kai explained that medications require sexual stimulation to work and do not affect daily life. The society urges men not to dismiss symptoms as mere fatigue and to seek professional medical advice.
