Following reports of hidden cameras in multiple cosmetic clinics, the Taipei Department of Health has been conducting ongoing inspections. Today, the bureau announced that the Zhanqian, Xinyi, and Nanjing branches of Airstar clinics were found in violation of the Medical Care Act and the Controlled Drugs Act, resulting in a total fine of 860,000 NTD. To date, the bureau has inspected 155 clinics and fined six illegal facilities a total of 3.11 million NTD. The bureau maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding medical privacy and will continue to conduct regular and unannounced inspections to protect patient rights.
