Central News Agency, Taipei, May 28. Taiwan Railways Administration (TRA) reported that a cargo train derailed at Chishang Station this morning, followed by an overhead line failure caused by a Puyuma express train at noon. The section between Chishang and Fuli was temporarily suspended. Repairs were completed ahead of the 8:30 PM target, with full service resuming at 7 PM. At 11:15 AM, a 7602 cargo train derailed during shunting operations, hitting a utility pole. Later, a 417 Puyuma train severed the overhead line upon departure.
